Susan Making a Basic Tunic

I need a T-tunic for tomorrow's event. Bring 2-3m of PRE-washed fabric on Friday night and I'll bring my sewing machine. This is only happening for those who pre-register.

Lady Lina Intro to Embroidery 101

A combination lecture/demo and some hands on basic stitches. This class will cover ways to transfer designs, types of fabric, types of thread, types of needles, types of scissors, frames and why, how and when to use all of the above. I will have samples with approximate costs and where to purchase them. Students could bring note paper and pen/pencil, small embroidery scissors if they have them (I will bring some to loan ). This class is for adults. 10 people/ $5

Krescentia Working with Fur

An explanation, with samples, on how to cut fur properly and methods to attach it as trim on hats, cuffs, collars, etc. will be the main focus. Participants could bring something they want to trim (or not) and discuss how one might do this. A handout of fur types that would be period will also be provided. Samples of some new fur pelts, or parts thereof, will also be on display. Participants can practice sewing by hand with glover's needles and cotton quilting thread and fur scraps, and how to cut fur. Some fur will be provided. (14 and older because of razor sharp blades used for cutting.) 10 people

HL Li Xia Tying Decorative Celtic Knots

Learn the basic knots for creating decorative trim, closures, and other embellishments. Materials will be provided, but please bring any cord or thin rope you may have laying around (at least a meter) if you have any specific project or colour in mind. Youth are welcome.

Flow diagram your documentation This class will help you figure out what questions and documentation you need for your A&S project big or small. Since it's a cooperative discussion class we encourage all level of A&S interest from newbie to old hand, as everyone will be a resource for everyone in the class.
